PUPPY GROOMS
Puppy grooms are essential for preparing your fur baby for their pawsitive grooming life that lies ahead of them. They help to train and condition your pup to have an enjoyable experience when coming into the salon, whilst on their bestest behaviour!
The sessions give them a chance to have a little play around the salon to get them used to being away from mum/dad, as well as all the smells, sounds and sensations! This building up their confidence for the next time they come in. We will get them used to being handled – their legs and paws especially – as well as being brushed and combed, progressing onto big boy and big girl baths. Nail clip, eye, feet and hygiene tidy where possible and safe to do so.
So when should you bring your puppy in to the salon? We recommend from when they have been fully vaccinated, which can be as young as 3months old.
No length will be taken off the coat in these sessions until they are at least 6months old, so it is really important to get them in before their big girl and big boy haircuts!
Through positive reinforcement and frequent trips to the salon, your pup will always love being pampered at the spa! Get your pups booked in for their puppy grooms asap!
